Default Sierra central locking

My donor car was a Nov 1991 and as far as I can tell from the door looms the central locking motors have two D-plugs, each with 2 cables.
Is that correct, and where will I find a pair?

Does anyone have a picture of how the motors connect to the door locks, and will it matter that the donor would have cable-operated locks and I'm using rods?

If I can't make the Ford central locking fit, can aftermarket remote central locking kits be programmed to work with a standard Ford 3-button key?
