Insurance is pathetic. Abit sick of it myself.
Been driving almost 2 years and on my 3rd Policy.

First year...
Peugeot 406 1.9TD 90bhp with a stage one tune declared (~130bhp) and audio equiptment and I paid £1200
Insurance group 11!

Second year...
Ford Focus 1.6 LX with audio equiptment declared and I paid £1400
Insurance group 6

Just started a new policy cause I have a new car...
Peugeot 406 Rapier 2.0 HDi 90bhp, with audio (pretty much same spec as my 406 just a newer model) £2,600
Insurance group 10!

2 years driving, 3 policies and I'm still getting nowhere fast with getting my insurance price down.

I don't get how driving a big granded barge like a 406 that does 0-60 in 14.5s and 105mph is more expensove to insure than a focus which does 0-60 in 10s and 120mph.

I think insurance companies are on acid!

Back in 2009 when I was looking for insurance I could insure a Vauxhall Omega MV6 3.2 V6 for £1700 as I was actually considering it!
