you know what takes the piss, i think we have to pay on average 3 quid a battery to have a licenced company turn up and collect a 3 bins of around 60 batteries a time as we need to prove we dispose of them in the correct manor with paperwork of a company who recycle them ect and all they do is sell the batteries on for more cash and they turn up every few weeks for a large batch and ALL garages and main dealers are tied into this rule or we get a fine

same with oil too, we have to pay to have that taken out aswell

we had a technican at work caught recently as he was nicking 10 old batteries every 2 days and weighing them in, he was being sensible(ish) and not taking too many,,,, it was the company who collects them who flagged it up as they never got a call for 3 months as the waste bins never got filled up
