Hi everyone!I am in the process of getting the parts to have my clutch changed in my mk1 focus rs!but iv been looking at fitting a lightened flywheel as the box is out,iv found the fidanza one but to me this seams like its going to be to light for a fast road occasional track car?anybody running one and what is it like?my only other option is getting a standard one and going and getting it lightened and balanced but im unsure as to how light to go?any ideas I was thinking of going down a kg or two?have any of you had experience with this or have any suggestions?thanks simon.
Hi mate i took my fly wheel to and engine rebuild speacialists and has them lighten mine they took a bit off the face and ring gear they never took it off the back due to sensors but mines fine any decent engine rebuild specialists will be able to do that and beware of the dual mass lightened fly wheels on sale as i spoke to a tuning company which had advetised it on thier site and and after an intersting telephone convo found out they werent goin to be stocking it any more as they have had a number of issues with them i would get your fly wheel skimmed if needed and lightened and balanced
