Yeah, you won't go wrong on that score.
Even the price of new models from top manufacturers has risen dramatically in the last couple of years.
I bought an AutoArt BMW M3 CSL new when they were available in 2007 for £49.99 which was the RRP. Now they're changing hands for as much as £500 in Carbon Grey like I have, which appears rarer than the black. And the RRP for the new models in the same range is £149.99 now and some limited editions more than that.
Your money will be pretty safe.
Oh and to really rub it in, not so long back I bought the SunStar Yacco-livery Esc Cos unopened from my local model shop for less than £20 (can't remember whether it was £16 or £19 now) and they can fetch £100-odd now.
