Hi I have a Escort Cabriolet mk4 1.6 cvh mfi, and the engine has died on me. My fault for not sorting an engine leak out. I was on the motorway doing 80mph and the oil warning light came on and the engine cut out started again but did not move and sounded terrible now does not start at all put oil in it but too late, I guess. Ive not done much with engines before but will have some time and I am thinking of stripping and cleaning the engine and try and find out whats wrong. Is this worth it or have I killed the engine. If so anyone know anyone who is selling one.
