I own a 2004 MK6 Fiesta, Recently the Engine ceased up. The engine has been pulled out and put in the bin, What I wanted to know is the Focus mk2 1.8 engine a Zetec or is it a Duractec, Please not interested in what Ford call it, Want to know what it really is, and if its possible to Fit one into by car without extensive mods and costs.

I know at this point most of you will recommend the ST 2.0 engine, The only problem with that is here in SA those engines are quiet expensive and the gearbox even more. than theres the problem of moving everything around in the engine bay to get the 2.0 to work. What i'm really hoping with the 1.8 is that its a Direct fit or a fit with minimal modifications.
