Sorry I actually have got confused, trying to do to many things at once, the "red hot all the time" is the live feed, that when the ignition switch is turned to position 2 connects red and black/yellow thus giving the ignition power.
When you turn one position further the red also sends power to the remote starter wire, you should also see a thinner yellow wire which is for the radio, this is why when the switch is in position 3, i.e. starter position the radio dies as it sends power to the other two wires.
If you take the feed to the push to make from the "hot all the time" wire, the push starter will be permanently live as well, i.e. if someone presses it it will turn the car over but not start it!
