Jesus NO, who'd drive one of them?????

5K is a good budget for one. Either a late run out with vvt or an early facelift. They're basic by most standards most later ones came with A/c, leccy windows and mirrors. If you're no taller than 6 foot they're reasonably comfy and with the seats down not entirely impractical. Little more than all terrains on it and its a very capable truck. Standard trucks move on easier than modded ones but they're very basic engineering and can be returned to standard easily.
3.5k will get you a good one and some of the rest of the budget on a 2" lift and better tyres will see you in a massively entertaining truck.

You have to really want one to live with one regularly.
