If new to RST's be prepared to have the £££ in the bank to fix rust and engine probs. If its gonna be your only set of wheels then accept the fact that problems will mean you won't be able to use it everyday.

EFI conversions are more worthwhile than problematic MFI systems.

Make sure all the electrics work!!!!

Sills and arches are the worst as the bodykit can hide the problem, floors can go too and difficult to check. Roofs can rust around sunroofs and the boot lid can rust around the wiper hole. Fuse box and battery tray are common problem areas if they have been left outside and depending upon severity can mean an MOT failure due to their close proximity to suspension mounts.

Worthwhile paying for an AA inspection if you don't know what you are doing.

If it looks suspect in any way shape or form then walk away otherwise you may discover that you wish you had when given the chance.

OR Plan B - buy a scooby etc
