It basically liquifies steel fragments to make them easier to remove.

I had a load of angle grinder sparks burnt into one of my cars paint and my mrs used that ironX stuff on it, it turned to a purple liquid that washed off, same for cleaning up steel from brakes on allow wheels.
Seems to work really well.
