never reflashed anyones ive done mate or renewed pcm's. you just get the van settings up and its a drop down box. sorry mate i couldnt tell you the cost i dont no what they charge i just get the job to do.
apparently vauxhall will do it to remove the limiters from the vivaro's but they cost a few hundred quid so the boss won't let them do it
if it's canbus like a lot of the newer fords, i'd assume it's the whole ecu gubbins that will need changing for a "free" removal but it'll be some sort of speed sensor input which iwll affect every other paramiter of the vehicles operation
i prefered it when it was an adjustable screw on the loud pedal
