A while ago I had a broken engine mount on the turbo side of my 4x4 sapphire. I thought the CV joint was still OK, but today I heard a knocking noise from the front. I jacked the car up and the only thing I could find was some play in the inner CV joint on the front right.

What do you normally notice when the front driveshafts breaks? As I think it's quite common to break when the engine mount tears off.
