You DO have no claims to loose.
You've just lost (would loose) it for this year, meaning it will take 2 years in total just to get 1 years NCB.

So in real terms you'll be paying a penalty in next years premium and probably a couple more years PLUS extra every year for at least 5 years or however long it takes to get to max NCB as you are (will be ) 1 year missing.
