I sold some carbon struts tops on ebay last month, guy paid via paypal i sent them out from work (which i shouldnt have done really).

anyway, citylink attempted to deliver them twice, left a card.

the guy calls them to arrange collection and they say that they have sent them back to the sender. this was the 1st of nov.

nothing ever came back to my works address, so i called citylink yesterday who tell me that they have been sent to our st. neots branch, not cirencester!!! WTF! citylinks fuck up there!

anyway, i got the warehouse manager to email the st, neots branch yesterday, as we have the info of who signed etc and their reply today basically said that they have no returned items in the goods in, and if there was something from us at cirencester that it would have been returned to us...

so one of 3 things has happened.

1. they opened the parcel, which they do, thought what the fuck is this and thrown it in the bin

2. the opened it and someone has kept them

3. they sent it back to us, but it never got here...

im thinking no. 2 myself...

so now here is my problem. the guy has paid, has no parts.
i have been paid, have no parts, and it wasnt my fault he was not in to receive them, and took too long to contact citylink to arrange collection.

now, they guy that paid, paid me £155 for them, so obviously he doesnt want to loose out on that ammount, and i cant see him getting anywhere with st. neots as they will deny having the parcel as i have already been told, and the fact that i shouldnt have sent them out via my work anyway...

so, out of goodwill i have offered him a part refund of £100, with the rest to cover my losses.

but i cant see him being happy with that really.

what would you lot do??
