The "having brakes fitted then they must work" falls back into grey area as the Aframe "trailer" has no means of operating the car brakes i would argue that the "Trailer" therefore has no braking system fitted.
I have looked at the brake system for the camper type fittment and it is really simple and i have to aggree, the lack of servo is not an issue as this has no effect on braking efficiency.

we look after some rac 12 ton flat bed recovery trucks that are new to them because as they said to me a frames are only to be use as recovery from the side of the road to the next safe point (so not 20 miles up the road to the garage) so they had to get recovery trucks to recover broken down cars!
