How many people have actually been caught with undeclared mods/engine swaps ?
After looking on many forums I found one case when someone was caught and charged.
They did kill someone though...

Despite insurance being so corrupt and criminal itself, yes people are getting caught. Some police just try and hunt people down. Why is beyond me when the real criminals ( the insurance companies ) dont even get a look in.
They do checks quite a lot here for that type of thing. Stopping "boy racers" in their car parks, sitting minding their own business. They trail them to roadside MOT tests, check insurance etc. If caught they do charge with no insurance, and using fraud to obtain insurance, and if they fail the roadside MOT, more prosecutions can follow or the car be impounded depending on severity of fail.
Although seeing the state of some cars here ( they actually remove the springs to lower the car ) it's hard to argue with that aspect.
