As said it could be a faulty battery or a jammed start motor etc. Have you checked the battery voltage etc?

I can't see any EMS related fault would prevent it from starting, if the battery was a problem this can also cause EMS related problems.

An easy test is to turn the headlights on, if they stay bright after several seconds theres a good chance the battery is ok, if they start bright then go dim then suspect the battery!
