You're lucky if your council still lets you have the luxury of street lights. Round my way and other towns in my area our councils are turning most of the lights off so in a road that used to have say 20 lights on there's now probably 4 or 5 and it's not just the rural roads it's literally every road, street, cul de sac and alley ways in our towns.
I don't know about brighter bulbs, i think we need brighter councillors.
