how do you know if the fuel pump is not capable of delivery enough fuel for the power that you want to run?

is it the case that the injectors are flowing so much fuel that the pump can not supply enough and the supply pressure drops off?

if so, i will build in that as an alarm feature on the engine monitor i'm building (based on fuel pressure and MAP) that should then sense that the supply pressure is not high enough for whatever reason (low voltage etc).
