Im in the process of putting parts together to fully aeroquip my fuel system on my Saff Cosworth. Ive bought a second standard Fuel rail and Im about to order some AN06 weld on fittings to convert the standard rail.

My question is what material adapters do I need?? Im going to take them to Pirtek and get them to silver solder the fittings onto the rail, but the adapters are available in Stainless steel, mild steel and Aluminium.

I have read that aluminium doesnt silver solder, so was thinking steel would be better as the standard fuel rail will be steel also??

Anybody on here got an idea of which will be better for fitting to the standard rail??

Also, if I do go steel, im assuming the aluminium AN fittings will still bolt upto the steel fittings ok??
