I done it. It made no difference what so ever to my insurance premium. Due to that, I didn't even tell my insurers I had Pass Plus as it was less paperwork to send.

As said above, YES Pass Plus gives you experience, but you would be better off sticking the £140 in your car and going for a long drive.
