I just think spending nearly 400 quid on a loom is madness

i just paid 250 for my fully built and terminated loom from Omex.
I did have an L8 and 4x4 loom which i sold and along with the sale of a SECS monitor - that fully covered the expense of my Omex 600 ECU.
Obviously, with my project as everything needed doing inc mapping it made sense to go for the spec i initially wanted as adding features to an L8 over time will become expensive.
Now, if you dont want to get it mapped or add any new features then i can see the point of sticking with the L8.
I just cannot fathom that adding closed loop functionality to an L8 costs £400, when you can sell that ECU for £250 and then pickup a Omex 600 for £560. As you know the Omex is a faster responding ECU, with more functions built in as standard.
You also can pick up the new self learning and mapping style ECUs now for similar sort of money which can save you hours and money on a rolling road - obviously its best to get it all checked out by a pro but the time spent would be minimal in comparison.
