Sorry about the big pics, ive never posted on here before!

Another issue ive come across is the alternator, none of the alternators that fit this engine will work.

Mondeo alternator is controlled by the ecu, it needs a certain signal to tell it to charge, and the ecu controls the dash warning light, so not compatible with the Puma/Fiesta!
The Mazda 6 alternator is a straight bolt on, but is externally regulated, so will work if you want to wire an external regulator!
The 2.0 MX5 alternator also fits the engine, but is also controlled by the ecu, just like th emondeo alternator
The ST150 alternator is the same pinouts as the mondeo alternator, and is controlled by the ECU, so you can either make a frankenator, using parts of a few alternators, or you can make an adaptor bracket to fit your existing alternator. Ive opted for the adaptor bracket because if the alternator goes, i can just swap it out rather then having to make a new one.

Ive used the ST150 mount, and adapted it, it seemed the easiest choice, but you can use a mondeo mk3 mount, mazda 6 1.8 or 2.0 mount, focus mk 2, ST150, or custom made mount. I welded the bracket on to the subframe for the rear engine torque link, as it is on the mk6 fiesta and later. That allowed me to use standard mk6 fiesta rear mount, so i can swap it for an uprated mount at a later date.
