I hit a motorway road sign @50 mph . one that didn't have a barrier around it as they do now. I climbed out with only glass fragments embedded in my head .
Sadly my best friend lost her life in the passenger seat. I will live with the guilt , memories and images of that night embossed on my mind forever.
This is the picture on the front page of the Evening Times newpaper the day it happened.
