Default Mondeo tdci p2337 injector issues

Okay so I was driving my mondeo to work the other day, nice start, plenty of power then all of a sudden the glow plug light starts flashing *ugh* and nearly all power is gone. So I pull over and restart the car but the flashing glow plug is still there, now I'm pissed. So I take it to my garage and he gets a diagnostics and the fault code was p2337 cylinder 2 knock threshold reached or something, but just to be sure he sent it to pyes (ford dealer) and they confirmed this for £80 and so my mechanic gets on with fitting another injector into cylinder 2 and yes he tried to recode it before and has done it once the new one has been installed. I got a call from him today saying that the new injector is in and it's still f****d. Apparently the car is hard to start runs like a dog and there is lots of smoke... I didn't have the car long enough after the fault to announce many symptoms. So anyway my car is going back to pyes because they have given us false info but now I'm getting extremely short of money and am beginning to get quite upset... Could anyone shed some light on what is probably the cause please, any information given will be wonderful, thankyou.
