yup im sure it meant to be 14 v on the cossies. anyway as what already been said. does the car seem laggy/ also dont even bother flooring it youl kill the engine it just starve.. sort that fuel pump out while your at it though why not put in a uprated one!
Ideally you want to see 13V+ (So alternator power) but so long as it does not drop below 12V which is all the pump needs anyway, it has to be checked UNDER LOAD.
The fuel pump wiring builds resistance over time, this is where the problem stems from, to OP if the car is new to you, you also need to make sure the cooling fans have been rewired, else you end up in a dangerous/non fan working situation, these are two chronic weak points on these cars!
