I don't understand PAS oil and the whole system and where it transfers it's heat from - is it the movement or the compression of the oil in the rack producing some sort of energy or the rate the pump is working at - if the later reason then the harder and faster the car goes the more the pump is working

Did RS500 touring/rally cars have coolers?
