it's alternators i seem to do in my starters normally last around 2 years and there only second hand ones i use anyway last one thats just died came of the blue mk5 daveysaff had a couple of years back
am still on the t2 so the exhaust house is faceing the starter an gettin all the heat
urs is faceing the othe way alternator is gettin the heat av just had to bump start the feckin thing again :'(
