Not much help, but mine does the same at low-revs under load. Plus I have the infamous ST-stutter. I suspect that my fuel pump is playing up, but have not got around to reading any codes yet.
Let me know if you find a solution to the pinking.

hi sorry im new to the ford scene... the st stutter? does this normally happen in 2nd by any chance? mine sound's like its about to die but pulls through
i thought it might be some sort of blockage
