who has done this before ?

on a couple of websites I have read that you should use a XR3i loom, but I dont have one so I want to connect my fiesta RST engine loom to my escort (1989) RST car loom.

Can this be done ? Is there somebody who can tell me where the 7 wires in the connector must be connected to ?
