It might just be cables. undo the cables from the gear box. Im sure there connected to the front of the gearbox and are hidden in a black box on the front of the g box.

Undo the cables and work the gear stick.If its still tight it should be the cables.

Check the linkage in the black box too cause i think they can seize up too.
