I find a LOT of people who recommend tyres actually have no clue what a good tyre is
Also cars leave the factory with certain tyres in mind from the manufacturer, ie side wall stiffness etc etc, so something as close to OEM as possible will be good
I had Toyo's once, very grippy ( in the dry ) but shit soft sidewalls made them a bit odd approaching the limit and lost a good bit of steering feel/sharpness, altho that was a fwd car
