I ran the engine part of last season and several meetings this year using a 32/36 with the Kent manifold and an adapter plate and it ran quite well but not as quick as I want it. I obtained the carbs locally and a manifold from Danst Engineering, a beautiful job in aluminium. General advice I recieved was to drill the jets out to 1.8mm but was adviced that Weber jets (32/36) are the same. The engine has to come out for a small leak on the dry sump system then it will be put on the rollers..To avoid having the throttle cable running vertical from the original linkage I have removed the TPS and fitted the cable roller from an SU as fitted to the Metro onto the exposed flat area of the long spindle. The cable now pulls down hill and is out of the way. I use the Ford Eddis unit and a Megajolt as supplied by Trigger wheels, a firm I found very helpfull. I am now awaiting the K & N filter and backplate to complete the engineering side.
