thats the problem right there, veg oil isnt the same viscosity as diesel, passenger vehicles do not have the ability to heat their fuel supply, and if it is used (esterifcation makes it run better) it wont be clean.
HD vehicles will run on pretty much anything (i work for a major HD FIE manufacturer) running the engine test department.
i just don't believe the gain outweighs the risk
its an easy problem to fix if you did wont to fitting a tank heater or a new tank with a heater isent hard work! but worth doing i guess it depends how many miles you do and if you can get good clean oil (or any oil and clean it well yourself) for alot cheaper than diesel
