designed like that to get a small fan actaully ON the radiator, instead of trying to draw air through the intercooler first with intercooler mounted fans!!

there is hardly ANY room on the S1, due to that stupid bar across the front that goes behind the front bumper!!! with this intercooler....there was no CUTTING involved at all
