I've done it before, i had a pile of old steelies with tyres at the bottom of the garden and my mum decided she wanted to use the tyres as plant pots
I used a bottle jack under the work bench in the shed to push down on the tyre and break the bead, then some big tyre leavers to pull the tyre off. Then i suppose, as per haynes, refitting is the reverse of removal.
