im currently in process of building a mk4 combi van with a 1.8 zetec turbo,im using a 1.8 zetec out of an escort si non p.a.t.s 130bhp version,but after looking at the price of forged pistons the best route seems decompresion plate?? unless i can find pistons for good price,But ive found some pistons that have been skimmed??? good idea???? work the same as decompression plate?? but without the need of new head bolts ect ect advice?????
