Try and get a lowish miles one if you can. The belts service history can be a good bargain point when looking.
The aux belts need doing every 36k which includes a tensioner and roller bearing. Cam belts @ 72k. Both jobs are a bit of a PITA but not as bad as ppl make out. Anyway if either of these need doing (5 years old max for the cambelt if < 72k) then they tend to go for a lot less which could work in your favour.
Bottom line tho - if I wasn't good @ working on cars or didn't have mates that are I personally wouldn't buy one - when things go wrong they are expensive to fix due to the restricted engine bay - need to be able to fix it yourself really.
Hope you get a good one - good luck

I'm pretty competant with a spanner and the father in law owns a motor repairs garage, so sure changing belts shouldn't be an issue, and swapping interiors should it fall apart should be no issue either.....
I'm already midway through and complete rebuild on my FRST and had no issues with that, so i think i can manage a few belts.............
