im an rac patrol n think our service or aa is best option.i know we were on watchdog last night but 4 complaints in 6 months with an average of 1.7 million breakdowns a year isnt a bad percentage tbh.we are offering a free recovery option at the moment when buying one of our solutions packages which is roadside (as it suggests and a maximum of 10 mile tow limit) and at home which is as it suggests is at home or 1/4 mile from home.normally recovery is £55 but we are offering that with at home and roadside for £99.50.
tbh insurance companies who use green flag and eastern general are normally just recovery drivers,we will attempt to fix your car or get u mobile enough to carry on your journey or to a garage.those other companies will usually just come with a truck n tow you away
hope that info helps

btw we carry alot of spares and parts on our vans.coils, sensors,ht leads, plugs, batteries, fan belts, even transit aux belt tensioners etc so we are pretty stocked in getting someone going again
