With my bank account I pay £10 a month for a load of extras. One of which is road side assistance, onward travel and car hire via the RAC.
Had a bad experiance with the AA as they did not believe I was a member with them and left me stranded on my first day of xmas leave years ago. Would not ring me back on my pay as you go as credit was short.
Moved to the RAC and never had a problem, always been quick and spot on. Even came out for a mates car. Called them out about 6 times with my old mondeo in one year lol

Although the RAC were on Watchdog tonight for really bad service and waiting time.

Have heard good things about Green Flag but never used them
