sorry if i'm a little wrong here, but i've fitted an mtx75 on my xr2 and i only had to take 10mm out of the inner wing, if the escort on the bc box has more than 20mm clearance from box to inner wing, then shouldn't need any work, may just need to mill out the locating holes on the engine mount (drivers side) to move it closer to drivers side a touch.
no idea on equal length shafts sadly as i'm on a zetec, but it bolts to the block not sump, but a bracket to mount it could be made up.
