I've got a Mk3 Mondeo 2.0 petrol. When driving it sounds like there is a grinding scraping noise from the engine bay. It disappears when you depress the clutch.

To be honest the clutch slips if you give it some revs and try and make a quick getaway. Will the noise be something to do with this or will it be the gearbox or something?
