i finished my bench at the weekend, the old one pictured further up didnt really suit the new garage so we did this...and we din't need new wood for the tops, jus used the stuff the old one was made of and turned it upside down, so it looks new but isn't, hope this gives you some ideas...

you can see on the legs that ive srewed the extension to the existing bench for strength, what you cant see is that ive also secured both benches directly to the garage frame so it doesnt move despite having 28+ stone sat on it to "test" it, ha.
then the top which ive put a 75mm "lip" on to stop bolts, screws etc dropping off the back.


and the other top and tool boxes.

looks far better compared to big berther in my previous posts, haha
