May I add to this very interesting post that I don't grind any of my cams personally. Cam grinding is a very specialised job and best left to those companies who have the machinary and expertise to use it!!!

I personally use one of 4 companies to grind my cams so none of you are wrong in claiming who made your cam!! (usually comes down to who has least work load!)

The biggest issue I have had is finding a cam blank of good quality, as cvh's are notorious for destroying cams, and it really is proving difficult.

One thing I would like to point out is you'll be suprised who supply's who and which companies make certain components such as followers.

Ultimately there are two things that need to be correct. One is the cam shaft specification which is designed by the tuner and the other is the ability of the camshaft manufacturer to grind the cam to the required paramaters!!!

Every cam I have ground I have to Dti up to ensure its been ground correctly as errors can and do occur!!

Hope that little insight helps!
