I was driving along and all of a sudden I had no boost, literally only made around 3 psi at 6000rpm!
So checked all hoses etc. as you do and all was well, then popped the actuator rod off the waste gate arm to check the gate was not stuck open or something silly (sounded like turbo wasnt spooling) and I found that the preload had gone from half a hole to no hole at all and was actually holding the gate open a fraction!!!
So I wound the rod in and set half a hole again as normal but in the back of my mind was thinking maybe the penny wheel had come off because how could I go from having half a hole of preload to none (threads are fine on the actuator rod etc.)?!
Went up the road not expecting any boost and much to my suprise it's all back to normal!
What could of happened? It makes no sense to me! lol
