remember that thread about the bmw that needed the new battery coded to the car? shit like that puts me off buying a new car as it's getting just way too complicated
I had a thread about a week ago about my old man's BMW E60 5 series 2003 that needed a new battery. Bought one from Euro Car Parts and just put it straight in. Computer came up with ABS warnings and cruise control malfunction shit when the old battery was in due to not having sufficient voltage. Just took the old one out stuck a new one in reset the clock and all was fine.

IIRC the thread about the coded BMW battery was Phil's (IMA Racing) M5.
