Just found a rather handy guide lol

Right this seems to get asked a lot on here so...
in order to fit a Zetec-E engine into a Zetec-S
firstly source your engine, personally stick in the 2.0 or its not worth it
then you will need to do the following to the engine

Fit Escort/Fiesta 1.6/1.8 Sump and oil pick-up pipe
Fit the Escort/Fiesta water pump (as it spins the opposite way)
Fit the Escort/Fiesta Flywheel as the 2.0 won't fit within the BC/IB5 bellhousing
Fiesta RS Turbo Clutch will fit and can be used for paddle clutches etc
Fit Escort/Fiesta Inlet manifold as Mondeo one wont fit
Use a CVH alternator Bracket and alternator but swap the Multi-V pulley off the original
zetec alternator onto this

thats the basics sorted for the engine

in order to fit into the car you will need a custom engine mount
the Zetec block will mount up to the Zetec-S IB5 (either straight up or with a Ka 1.3 bellhousing)
the block may need some of the fins removing dependant upon starter position but is easily done
retaining the original box allows the use of all original mounts and driveshafts

IF wishing to retain powersteering then custom pipes will have to be made from Rack to pump
otherwise fit a non-ps rack

coolant piping will have to be custom but is easily sorted
wiring wise it would be simple to add a mk3 16v fiesta loom and Ecu and piggyback it to your existing ecu similar to the omex installations in
Zetec-S

best obviously would be to run it from an omex, allowing for easier future modifications/adjustments
if wishing to run the original dash then the above wirings piggybacked to the original ecu will have to be used
if using an aftermarket dash a non-piggybacked system can be installed

a short oil filter from a CVH or a tiny filter from a Renault 5 Turbo will be neccasary for clearance

i think that covers the main of what is needed and as i think of more i will update, i hope this answers a few questions

inspiration for you boys
