It won't make too much difference to power but it will suck in warm air from under the bonnet mostly when you're stationary or going slowly so you can feel it bogging down a bit when pulling away on warm days.

I tried it but soon put it back on as it sounded like a tractor with a Peco backbox...I'm exaggerating but it is quite loud.
