I can get 35-45mpg on the motorway, I normally get 28mpg around town so it's not as bad as people say, it's all about how it's driven. I managed to get 17mpg out of it once when I was driving it like a mad man.

An exhaust is great but don't go with a K&N. An ST170 snorkel, 2.0 auto air dfeflector and ST170 lower airbox will release more power than aftermarket induction.
